We're an independent comparison site dedicated to helping Australian shoppers make better purchasing decisions — without the noise of paid placements and influencer marketing.

Why we exist

Most "best of" lists online are paid placements. The products at the top of generic buying guides are usually there because brands paid for the slot, not because they're genuinely the best option. We exist to do the opposite: independent, research-backed comparisons where rankings are determined by performance, price and reviews — not commission rates.

Our methodology

Every product on this site goes through a consistent four-step evaluation:

1. Research: We identify genuine contenders in each category by scanning Amazon Australia, industry publications, and Australian consumer forums.
2. Verification: Products with fewer than 50 reviews, below 4.0 stars, or suspicious review patterns are filtered out.
3. Scoring: Remaining products are scored on price, performance, warranty, brand reliability, and use-case fit.
4. Quarterly updates: We re-audit every category at least once per quarter. Prices change, new products launch, and rankings shift accordingly.

How we make money

We earn a small commission when readers buy products through the Amazon Associates affiliate links on our site. This commission comes from Amazon's margin — it never changes what you pay, and it never influences our rankings. If a product isn't worth recommending, we don't recommend it, regardless of commission rate.

We've deliberately chosen not to accept paid placements, sponsored listings, or editorial advertising. It would be easy money, but it would also compromise the one thing that makes this site worth visiting: honest rankings.

Who writes the reviews

Reviews on this site are written by a small team of Australian shoppers who spend their own money on the products being reviewed. Where we haven't used a product personally, we're explicit about relying on verified customer reviews, expert evaluations and independent testing data — never brand marketing materials.

What we won't do

• Accept payment for placement or ranking manipulation
• Recommend products we wouldn't buy ourselves
• Fabricate expert credentials or reviewer personas
• Hide affiliate relationships
• Remove negative information about products to protect commission revenue
